2100 patients examined free, given treatment at Joshi Foundation’s mega health check up camp

More than 2100 patients were examined free and given treatment at the mega health check up camp held by the Joshi Foundation at sector 15 Patel Market today.
With the market’s parking space turned into a mini hospital, patients thronged the venue wherein they were allocated numbers in a huge reception area and further directed to the respective specialties. Various diagnostic tests including blood, urine tests, ECG, spirometry tests, mammography etc were conducted free of cost.
Inaugurating the event Member of Parliament from Chandigarh Kirron Kher appreciated the efforts of Joshi Foundation in making a big difference to the life of patients suffering from different ailments. She was especially appreciative of the well-planned event that saw huge participation of doctors, paramedics and patients. Renowned Cardiologist Dr HK Bali, National Vice President Bharat Vikas Parishad Ajay Dutta, Col BS Sandhu CMD WWICS group and Gurvinder Bahra Chancellor Rayat -Bahra University graced the inaugural ceremony.
Home Secretary UT Anil Kumar also took round of the camp and felicitated all the twenty five super specialist doctors.
President of the Joshi Foundation the assistant media advisor Punjab with CPS rank Vineet Joshi said that before holding the camp, a screening of the patients was conducted before hand. “All the patients participating in this camp had been registered and allocated proper numbers. We had their case history ready before forwarding the same to different specialists,” he said.
At the camp people were examined free and given treatment by specialists in neurology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, ENT, cardiology, urology, chest, gastroenterology, hip and joint replacement, gynecology and obstetrics, dermatology, endocrinology, child specialist, cancer, dental, general medicine, general surgery and kidney transplant.
General secretary of the Joshi Foundation Councilor Saurabh Joshi said that besides these free tests for blood, urine, ECG, bone densiometry, hearing, mammography, X ray, spirometry were conducted.
Heart Foundation, Bharat Vikas Parishad, WWICS group, and Rayat Bahra Group supported the foundation in holding camp. PGIMER Chandigarh pitched in by sending its mammography machine, Rayat Bahra Group sent its entire dental wing and Bharat Vikas Parishad conducted free blood and urine tests.
